About us

Our approach to cooking is inventive, centred around a trilogy of live fire cooking, umami, and spices. Drawing inspiration from founder Aji Akokomi’s West African heritage, our culinary team headed by Executive Chef Theo Clench skilfully create innovative dishes that combine the finest seasonal British produce with specially sourced African spices. Far from traditional, our menu reflects our creativity and imagination, a combination of classical and modern techniques with equal fervour for the culture and traditions we hold dear.

To book a table, reserve online using the button below.

Please allow up to 3 hours. All bookings require every guest to order a menu. Please note there are number of dietary requirements which we cannot accommodate, which are: Alliums, tomatoes, coconut, red pepper, shiitake mushrooms.

Opening times

Akoko is open every Saturday for lunch and Wednesday to Saturday for dinner, as well as Tuesdays in December.

We will be closed from Sunday December 19th and reopening Friday January 7th for a well deserved break for the team.
